Luxury, mindfulness, and nearly free travel — yes please.
Amazing pink sunset at Hyatt Regency Maui
We absolutely loved our time at the Hyatt Regency Maui, and it’s a place we would return to again and again. This resort strikes that rare balance between luxury, wellness, and sustainability — all while being genuinely fun for every age.
✨ Sustainability that actually matters
One of the first things that stood out was how intentional the property is about caring for the planet:
• LEED Certified ♻️
• Water refill stations throughout the resort (no plastic bottles!)
• Motion-sensor lighting to reduce energy use
• Option to skip daily housekeeping (because really, who needs fresh towels every day?) — plus you’re rewarded with a Mai Tai credit 🍹
It’s refreshing to stay somewhere that makes sustainable choices feel easy and thoughtful, not performative.

🌴 Wellness & nature vibes
This is Maui at its finest — where slowing down happens naturally:
• Morning oceanfront yoga 🧘🏽♀️
• Snorkeling right out front with frequent turtle sightings 🐢
• On-site shave ice made without artificial junk 🍧
• Fresh herbs and produce grown right on property 🌿
Every day felt grounded, nourishing, and deeply connected to the land.
🐧 Fun for all ages
Whether you’re traveling as a couple or with kids, this resort truly has something for everyone:
• Penguins, swans, macaws, and other wildlife — a total hit with families
• Water slides and a beautiful, swimmable beach
• Local Hawaiian reggae music playing poolside all day, setting the perfect island vibe
The energy here is joyful, relaxed, and unmistakably Maui.

✨ Luxury with mindfulness
What we loved most is how the Hyatt Regency Maui delivers high-end comfort without losing soul. It feels abundant yet intentional — a true paradise that respects the island and invites you to do the same.
The best part…We paid next to nothing 😏
This trip would have cost us $6,700 out of pocket for flights and accommodations… but instead:
• We used ~230,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points
• Paid $5.60 per person in taxes for our Southwest flights ✈️
• Upgraded to club access, which included:
Daily breakfast- Snacks throughout the day- Light dinners / pupus when we didn’t feel like going out
• Rented a car for just $350 for the entire week
Overall… We scored huge.
