As I gear up for my next retreat to Panama, I’m creating a packing list for my guests that I thought I’d share with you—it’s helpful for any traveler who wants to make life (and luggage) a little lighter.

There’s something empowering about packing light. Traveling with just a carry-on isn’t about restriction—it’s about ease. It means less to carry, less to manage, and more time to be fully present wherever you are.

To simplify our lives is a key concept taught in my retreats. The shift begins before we even arrive—when we start to release what we don’t need, physically and energetically. Traveling light becomes a practice in mindfulness, teaching us to let go of the extra weight we’ve been carrying in more ways than one.

No waiting at baggage claim. No lost luggage. No overpacking “just in case.” Just you, your essentials, and the joy of the journey ahead.

Why Carry-On Only?

1. Save Money

Skip checked bag fees and keep your travel budget for what really matters—local food, experiences, and meaningful memories.

2. Save Time

Breeze through airports, skip baggage lines, and walk off the plane ready to explore.

3. Travel with Ease

Packing light helps you stay organized, reduce stress, and move freely. You’ll feel lighter, calmer, and more connected to your travels.
