Springtime in the beautiful oasis of Sedona is vibrant with life, therefore making a perfect destination to retreat and connect. With an array of colorful cacti and wildflowers blooming, perfect temperatures to enjoy the many hikes throughout the area, and a strong flow of water running through the valley to nourish us all.

During this retreat we will be celebrating Mother Earth and all her offerings. With opportunities to connect to the land and the sacred powers within this magical place. Our guides will lead us on this journey though daily offerings of yoga & meditation, mindfulness hikes among powerful energy centers of the earth, and native foods to nourish and connect us to the healing potential of our beloved mother. Our angelic guides have been known to show up as well.

Our home, named the Transformation Home is a private house with 4 bedrooms, with this intimate setting we have only enough room for 8 guests. We have a gorgeous deck to enjoy coffee, a spacious yard to wander about and gaze up at the iconic Cathedral Rock.. There is a hot tub to soak in after a long hike and a fireplace to keep us cozy at night. This smaller retreat will be a unique offering with an intention on diving deep into the wisdom in ourselves and in mother nature with loving reverence. This retreat is open to couples as well as single women, bedrooms and bathrooms are shared.

A local guide will be leading us on a pilgrimage to explore a powerful vortex with a half-day experience in which we will hike, meditate and learn about the ancient wisdom of this area. This will be an incredible opportunity to connect to the earth’s energy as well as communication with your guides.

All of the meals will be provided, minus our night out on the town enjoying the local cuisine as well as an opportunity to explore the area and have lunch on our own. The food we will be fed is abundant in nutrients, flavor and beauty to nourish every cell of our being. An amazing menu with mostly plant-based meals will be prepared by our private chef, with snacks, water and tea available at all times.

Our time together will be for 5 days and 4 nights, arriving on Wednesday by 4pm to enjoy a welcoming circle and dinner. Throughout the weekend we will practice yoga in the morning at the house and out in nature. We will find time for stillness and reflection, as well as rest and relaxation. During the day we will have a variety of hikes to choose from and some amazing healers to compliment our journey. Evenings are spent with delicious food, conversation, hot tubbing, star gazing….it is your time to nourish how you see fit. You will receive exactly what you need! The retreat will come to an end with check out by 11am on Sunday. You are welcome to enjoy the day on Sedona or head back home whenever you are ready.

ALisha Petak

Alisha Petak is the founder and operator of Mindful Balance Retreats a company that she started in the year 2013 to guide yoga students and teachers on adventurous journeys around the world. With over 20 years of experience traveling all over the planet and a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Management from Arizona State University, Alisha is well equipped to guide travelers to the locations of their dreams all while staying focused on her great passion for yoga and wellness.

As a yoga instructor herself, Alisha’s style of teaching reflects upon the many teachers that she has studied with over the past 20 years, offering a varied and challenging practice of strength, stability and focus balanced with mindfulness and meditation. Over the course of her career Alisha has received many certifications that have cultivated her understanding of the health of the body and mind. Alisha has achieved a master’s degree in Holistic Nutrition and completed her 1000 hour Yoga Therapy Certification. She has also received many other trainings/certifications including personal training certs from American Council on Exercise and the National Association of Sports Medicine, and yoga teacher trainings from Sivananda Yoga in Woodbourne, NY  and Soul of Yoga in Encinitas, CA. As well as a Thai massage certification from the Sunshine Massage School in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

At a time when I felt a yearning to make changes in my life and find balance, I’m grateful to have crossed paths with Alisha. I began taking yoga classes with Alisha though an employee health program offered at work and then went on a retreat through her Mindful Balance program. Alisha’s approach provided an easy and adaptable transition into all aspects of the program (cleanse/diet, meditation, and yoga practice) that have been sustainable long after the program was complete. The results have left me with a greater sense of self-awareness, strength, energy and peacefulness both inside and out. Overall, Alisha’s knowledge and methodology in approaching health and wellness has provided me with the necessary foundation to live my life in what truly is a mindful balance.
