Where to Fly Into?
You will fly into Kona Airport - (KOA)
We recommend to all guests to fly into Kona as early as possible on the 24th and an afternoon/evening flight on the 29th (or stay awhile explore on your own!)
How will i get around on the island?
You will need to rent a car once you arrive, we will be arranging sharing options with the other guests.
Where is the beach?
We have black sand, green sand and white sand beaches all within 30 mins. Some good for swimming, some for snorkeling, some just viewing.
How far is the nearest town?
The towns of Hawi and Kapaau are each 1.5 mile drive from eh lodge.
What is the weather like?
August weather in the Hawaiian Islands can be described as very summer-like with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures. Daytime high temperatures at most beaches average in the mid to upper 80s F. Nighttime temperatures only dip into the 70s F.
What time can I check in/out?
You are able to check-in to the retreat center at 3:00pm and check out time is 11:00am. Guests leaving later in the day can store luggage at the office and can use the spa shower house.
Can I arrive early or stay later than the retreat?
Yes. Contact us and let us know when you want to arrive or leave, and we’ll be happy to assist you in making arrangements that best suit your vacation.
What if I’ve never done yoga?
No need to be intimidated. Everyone has to start somewhere and we provide a comfortable, supportive environment where you can feel safe trying out yoga. There are many other activities at the retreat center and in the area that will make your trip well worthwhile.
What AMENITIES are included with the yurt?

Do you have Internet?
We believe in the importance of disconnecting to reconnect, however we do understand the need to keep in touch with those at home. We have WIFI throughout many parts of the resort and available for all guests.
will my phone have service?
Check with your phone carrier, however most work. With the WIFI available on the property, you can use Skype or FaceTime to make calls to friends and family as well.
Do I need vaccinations? Do I need to worry about Malaria?
When traveling to Hawaii, you do not need special vaccinations and you do not have to worry about infectious disease or Malaria in this part of the country. However, we always recommend speaking to your healthcare provider prior to travelling anywhere.
Is the water drinkable?
All water is safe to drink right out of the taps. We have an onsite well and filter system providing you with purified, deliciously cold, thirst quenching water.
Do I need insurance?
We always recommend insurance coverage during your vacation.
Do you offer Room Service?
Meals are served in the main hotel, where guests can also enjoy our fragrant gardens, open-air living room, theater room, and library.
Do you offer alcohol on the property?
Beer and wine in moderation can be purchased and enjoyed at meal times.
Can you accommodate my dietary restrictions?
We want you to thoroughly enjoy your stay with us, and that includes dining experiences. Please contact us prior to arrival so we can best accommodate your needs.
If I want to tip the staff, how should I do so?
Our hardworking staff always appreciate knowing they’ve helped make your vacation that much more special. If you wish to leave a tip, you can do so at check out and leave it with management so it can be distributed evenly. Housekeeping gratuity is suggested at $3 per room per day.
Can I do Laundry?
Yes, we offer a laundry service at an additional charge of $5 per pound
