My journey into travel and wellness began long before I ever dreamed of starting Mindful Balance. From a young age, I felt drawn to the wide world beyond me—new landscapes, cultures, and experiences. That curiosity eventually grew into a passion for both exploration and personal growth, two threads that have been woven together throughout my life.

In 2013, I founded Mindful Balance Retreats with the vision of creating experiences that went far beyond an ordinary trip. I wanted to design retreats where people could not only travel to breathtaking destinations, but also reconnect—with themselves, with nature, and with each other.

My path here has been shaped by over 20 years of traveling the globe, a degree in Recreation Management & Tourism from Arizona State University, and a lifelong commitment to yoga and wellness. Along the way, I became a yoga instructor, completing extensive training in multiple lineages, and continued to deepen my knowledge through a Master’s in Holistic Nutrition, a 1,000-hour Yoga Therapy Certification, and studies in Thai massage and personal training. Each of these experiences has taught me that true balance comes when we care for the body, quiet the mind, and nurture the spirit.

But more than any degree or certification, travel itself has been my greatest teacher. Living and learning in different corners of the world showed me how much we grow when we step outside our comfort zones. It’s why I remain a traveler at heart—always seeking, always curious, always inspired.

Today, my work is evolving beyond yoga retreats. I’m passionate about creating transformational group travel experiences—journeys that bring people together to explore new places, immerse in culture, and discover what it means to live with mindful balance. Whether we’re practicing yoga in the jungles of Costa Rica, sharing a farm to table meal in Italy, or hiking the Inca Trail, my goal is the same: to help you feel more connected to yourself, to the earth, and to the community around you.

What started as a personal holistic health journey has grown into a way of life that I now share with others. And I’m just as excited about the next adventure as I was when I first began.
